The CIF is an organization that welcomes French speaking newcomers and helps them get settled in Prince Edward Island. We also organize activities to raise awareness about cultural diversity. CIF is in charge of  the francophone population growth dossier for the Acadian and Francophone Community of PEI.
AIC Transparent

Farmers across Prince Edward Island have expressed both a consistent and constant demand for finding effective, reliable help on their farms.  Farmers have had difficulty finding qualified labour within the province, and this labour market need poses a significant challenge, particularly due to the declining trend of rural communities in the region. This demographic shift has created unique challenges for farmers wanting to grow or diversify their operations.

AgriInterCulture (AIC) is a recruitment program created by the Coopérative d'intégration francophone de l’Î.-P.-É. (CIF) to help PEI farmers fill their need for skilled labour.

The project aims to attract French-speaking workers from abroad to the Island by guaranteeing them a job and to contribute to the economic development of PEI’s agricultural sector. Employment contracts vary from 3 to 24 months, with a potential for extension.

A range of services will be offered to the workers and farmers who participate in AIC, such as matching workers with the host farms, training workshops, and follow ups with interns and farmers alike. The participants are expected to start work in June, 2015.

If you are a farm operator seeking qualified and skilled labour, participating in AIC will allow you to specify and develop a position on your farm that requires an employee with real qualifications, dedication, and experience.  It is also an opportunity to share your know-how in your area of expertise, and potentially grow your business in a win-win arrangement.
